What an October! I must say that was one of the best in a while. In my mind, closing out a dynamite October means one thing and one thing only: time to distribute some Art of the CTA buzz awards.
For those new readers, the Art of the CTA (stands for “call to action”) captures mobile and social media marketing calls to action from all over the world. It’s a resource that marketers and people interested in mobile marketing can use to generate ideas or learn from best practices.
Some of the favorites from this past month include:
- The DMV, of all places, is attempting to try to get in on the digital media movement. Awesome if you ask me, especially if we can get those wait times down.
- We saw an entire hotel room decorated by QR codes. Now, in order to create the ultimate viral concept, let’s see if we can convince Psy to don some QR code garments.
- We had a crew of well dressed gents mugging in front of the chance to win free offers in Vegas (because what’s better than that?).
Most importantly, however, we had a CTA contribution from 2012’s best baseball team. A double benefit, in that it not only captures a dynamite mobile CTA, but also a beautiful San Francisco sunset at AT&T. Congrats to the entire San Francisco Giants baseball team – what a season it was for us all.
With Thanksgiving break now set in sight, take some time to peruse the rest of the artofthecta.com, where you will find countless CTAs that dutifully impart their own brand of mobile marketing best practices. We look forward to analyzing, buzzing about and finding more thought-provoking calls to action in November.
Well, that’s it for this edition of the buzz – see you in December.
